Advisory Group and project workshops
Workshops and validation activities will be organized to have the best feedback from final users.
There will be two workshops with the Advisory Group, the first regarding project results on the analysis of the current situation, the second regarding the advanced solutions results.
The Advisory Group will provide a unique opportunity to stakeholders to:
- Have initial and direct access to the results obtained at each project phase;
- Influence the project results by defining priorities for investigation;
- Identify and establish possible synergies between AGENT and other parallel activities and projects undertaken by the user.
Mr. Keyvan Bayram is one of the co-founders of ATHREE Solutions and accountable for the R&D activities of the company. As research associate within the ATM team at the Institute of Flight Guidance (Technische UniversitĂ¤t Braunschweig), he has been responsible for the design and development of the Aircraft Centered Supervision System (ACSS) in the course of the FP7-project ACROSS. His contribution to research projects is based on his theoretical background in Aviation System Engineering and his operational experience gained on commercial jet aircraft. Until today, he accumulated more than 5500 hours flight experience on Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Airbus A380. Besides his function as active pilot, he has been assigned as Assistant to Chief Pilot and Manager Flight Operations within the management department of a commercial airline. Thereby, he has been charged with a number of additional responsibilities, such as the project lead for the specification and implementation of an Electronic Flight Bag system in the course of a fleet renewal. Furthermore, he acted as simulator instructor for the initial pilot training on Boeing B757.
Dr. Eduardo GarcĂa GonzĂˇlez is the CANSO Manager European ATM Coordination and Safety and he is based in the Brussels office. He coordinates CANSO positions on technical, operations and safety matters. He coordinates CANSOâ€™s involvement with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA); ICAO EUR (EANPG, COG, RASG, ASBU); the Interoperability Sub Group of the Industry Consultation Body; and the Agency Advisory Body of EUROCONTROL.
Eduardo received a PhD in Aerospace Engineering (Cum Laude, 2013) and a MSc in Aeronautical Engineering (2000) from the Universidad PolitĂ©cnica de Madrid (UPM). Dr. Garcia has more than 15 years of experience in national and international projects and research coordination activities in the air traffic management domain. He has been involved in applied research, working previously for CRIDA, the not-for-profit research entity established by ENAIRE; the Spanish transport organisation, INECO; and SESAR as a task leader. He was also Associate Professor of Air Navigation and Safety Methodologies at the UPM.
Dr. Garcia has published over 15 technical papers and received the SESAR Distinguished Service Award for sustained outstanding performance in the HALA! Research Network by the SESAR Scientific Committee in November 2014. He was also awarded the â€śDerek George Astridge Safety in Aerospace Awardâ€ť and the â€śSafety and Mechanical Engineering Award 2010â€ť by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers UK.

Mr. Javier Ruano is the Indra director and he is based in Madrid office. He has been coordinating Indra positions on Air Traffic Management Systems for 14 years, including Communications, Surveillance, Navigation and ATC Centers worldwide.

Dr Wolfgang Schuster was a Senior Research Fellow (Associate Professor) at Imperial College London and Founder and Director of the Transport Systems Vulnerabilities Research Group. His key research interests have been to assess the vulnerabilities ofÂ transport systems as well asÂ of other safety-critical industries, and to research solutions to ensure robustness and resilience in the presence of failures. His primary focus has been on vulnerabilities ofÂ automation, positioning, navigation and timing systems for safety-critical applications, intelligent transport systems and automated trajectory management systems for transport applications.
He has made significant contributions to major international projects, including the design of robust high-performance navigation architectures for precision aircraft operations; design of holistic Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) monitoring architectures to protect users from GNSS failures, ensuring positioning, navigation and timing resilience; development of trajectory optimisation and management tools for aviation and land transport applications; and the development of operational concepts for long-term future multi-modal transport.
Dr Schuster is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation, Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, as well as a Senior Member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics. He is a member of several Editorial Boards, US Transportation Research Board Standing Committees and various technical and steering committees worldwide.
In ATM since 2000 when started his career in BULATSA after graduation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida where specialiased in aviation safety and air traffic control.Â Worked as an air traffic controller at Sofia Airport and as en-route controller in Sofia Area Control Centre for which holds an active traffic controller license. In 2008 was seconded to EUROCONTROL for the development of a global safety knowledge exchange network, an initiative of EUROCONTROL, Flight Safety Foundation and ICAO. Took part in the development of Danube FAB Strategic Programme. In June 2014 joined the Programmes and Strategies department of the European Projects, Programmes and Strategies Directorate at BULATSA as an expert with main activities focused on SESAR Deployment and SESAR2020 development and validation.
